Lise Esposito: What if art finally reflected who you are?
“EspoListo is an artist of materials, which she makes speak through their random cracks, bubbles, and inflorescences, allowing us to feel the power and effervescence of life. Her themes primarily touch on the mystery of life and the world, and on humanity in all its dimensions. Her works, paintings or sculptures, lie between abstract and figurative, and question with sensitivity, finesse, and subtlety, maintaining mystery and ambiguity.”
Jean-François Collignon, corresponding member of the Academy of Fine Arts, Institute of France
Meeting Lise Esposito , aka EspoListo, is like entering a universe where matter comes to life and where every story can become a work of art.
What touches me about her is the importance she places on humanity. Lise loves people, conversations, the stories we share, and the connections that are forged through encounters. For her, a work of art can emerge from a simple conversation.

When creating becomes a necessity
Connecting with that which transcends us, grasping the invisible: this is what drives Lise above all in her creative process. This quest runs through her major series:
The "Matrices" question the origin of Life;
The "Sacred Discs" question the existence of a universal memory;
The "Souls" celebrate the bonds of affinity between beings, these kinds of "families" on earth and in the afterlife.
A material that speaks
In her artistic exploration, Lise delves into various mediums, alternating between surface and volume (clay, metal, paint). Painting and sculpture respond to and infuse each other. Her canvases and sculptures often hover halfway between figurative and abstract, with cracks, bubbles, and vibrant textures that invite the viewer to slow down, truly look, and let their own sensitivity do the rest.
A renowned artist, both locally and internationally.
Lise's career has extended far beyond the Loire. She exhibits permanently in several galleries and participates in exhibitions in France and abroad:
Prince Gong's Palace in Beijing, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Franco-Chinese friendships (2014);
the 6th Beijing Biennale (2015);
the 7th Qingdao International Art Fair, China (2015);
the exhibition at the House of Arts, Yishu 8, dedicated to contemporary creation, in China (2015).
His work has also been listed since November 2016, following a sale-exhibition at Drouot-Richelieu.
A new adventure: symbolic portraits
Today, Lise extends this sensitivity into a very personal approach: symbolic portraits, creations made around each person's story.
A portrait that begins with listening
Before the canvas, there is the encounter.
Lise takes the time to talk with you. You share memories, moments from your life, emotions—as much or as little as you like. Some people talk about their personal lives, what has shaped them, what connects them to someone, what they are going through right now. Others prefer to remain more discreet: the artwork will speak of them without revealing them.
From this profoundly human material, she creates a painting, a canvas, a drawing, or a sculpture that resembles you. Not in the way a photograph does: the resemblance comes through symbols, through the images your story inspires, through the emotions she gives form to. The result celebrates your uniqueness and reflects your world.
A part of you thus finds its place in a work of art.
Thanking, passing on, turning a page
A symbolic portrait can emerge from the bond between a mother and her child. It then carries a thank you, shared memories, that love which we cannot always express with words.
It can also accompany a new beginning: that of a woman who wishes to lay down her trials, express the difficult moments she has gone through and give an image to her desire for rebirth.
Each story brings its own images and intention. For one, it will be gratitude. For another, the memory of a precious connection, or the desire to see oneself differently. Lise is open to all requests.
What I like about this approach is being able to own a deeply personal work, one that we return to with our current perspective and emotions. A work that changes with us.
An artist I wanted to introduce you to.
At Insolite Loire, I like to share encounters that make you want to go further: to discover a world, and above all the person who brings it to life.
With Lise, I love this way of bringing our stories into art. A memory, a thank you, a love or a new beginning becomes a creation that we keep close to us.
