Husky Dream: a little boy's dream turned into an adventure to share

Some passions take root very early in life. Nicolas's passion for huskies began in his childhood. At eight years old, he already dreamed of having one of these dogs by his side. He didn't yet know that this desire would lead him, years later, to create Husky Dream, in the heart of Anjou.
What touches me in his story is this childhood dream that he allowed time to grow.
At eight years old, a desire that becomes a passion
When Nicolas asks his parents for a husky, their answer is no. But they give him a precious opportunity: to learn about, read about, and get to know this incredibly endearing breed.
So, Nicolas began his research. He discovered the characteristics of the husky, its temperament, and its needs. His desire for a child gradually grew with this knowledge. Behind the wish to welcome a dog, a passion was born that would stay with him for years to come.
This step gives full meaning to the rest of his journey: before making huskies his profession, Nicolas took the time to take an interest in them and to understand what their presence implies on a daily basis.
Giving his dream a place in Anjou
After settling in Doué-en-Anjou, Nicolas found a plot of land in Chênehutte-Trèves-Cunault where he could pursue his business. His project took shape: to create a place to live his passion and share it with visitors.
Husky Dream was founded in 2015. Nicolas Charrueau also trained in the profession: he holds a DEJEPS diploma specializing in dog sledding, which allows him to lead the activities offered. ( Husky Dream )
The little boy who wanted a husky thus built, over time, a whole life around dogs.
A meeting with Nicolas and his 37 huskies
Today, Nicolas and his 37 huskies welcome you to Chênehutte-Trèves-Cunault, between Angers and Saumur.
A visit to Husky Dream is an opportunity to discover the dogs, their way of life, and the pack dynamic. The kennel tour also provides insight into the care they receive and offers a deeper understanding of the world of sled dogs. Nicolas shares with visitors the knowledge he began acquiring in his childhood. (Husky Dream)

I like this idea of transmission: a curiosity born at eight years old which becomes, years later, an invitation to discover and learn in turn.
Experience the adventure on the roads of Anjou
To extend the experience, Husky Dream offers cani-hiking. Connected to a dog by a belt and a specially designed leash, you set off on walks along the trails of Anjou. It's a way to enjoy nature while discovering the special bond that can develop with your walking companion. ( Husky Dream )
Another experience: doggy-karting, a wheeled sled that lets you discover the thrill of dog sledding without needing snow. This activity is offered during the cooler months, when temperatures allow for the well-being of the dogs. ( Husky Dream )
A story I wanted to share with you
At Insolite Loire, I like to highlight the people who give soul to the experiences of our region. Nicolas's story is one of them.
It tells the story of a childhood dream, years of learning, and a project that became a reality. It also reminds us that behind an unusual activity, there is a journey, a commitment, and a passion to discover.
At eight years old, Nicolas dreamed of a husky. Today, with Husky Dream, he opens the doors to his world.
